1. How do you calculate the cost of Metal Additive Manufactured parts?

Response:

Costing for Metal Additive Manufactured parts depends on numerous factors. However, it primarily consists of two main aspects – printing time & material consumed. Factors like orientation & support strategy also play a significant role. A 3D CAD model & 2D drawing is required to conduct a feasibility assessment & subsequently calculate the cost of the part.



2. What processes in Metal Additive Manufacturing do you provide?

Response:

We provide services in Powder Bed Fusion technologies like: Direct Metal Laser Solidification, Selective Laser Melting, Laser Powder Bed Fusion, Direct Metal Laser Melting.



3. Which materials do you provide in Metal Additive Manufacturing?

Response:

Currently we can manufacture parts in Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Maraging Steel, Cobalt Chrome, Titanium & Inconel material. We also undertake New Alloy Development.



4. What is the maximum part size that can be manufactured in Metal 3D Printing?

Response:

We can manufacture parts having maximum size of: X=250mm ;Y=250mm; Z=300 mm.



5. What should be the minimum wall thickness of parts for Metal 3D Printing?

Response:

The minimum wall thickness of a part should be at least 1mm. However, depending on the nature of part geometry and size, we can print parts with wall thickness up to 0.8mm and feature thicknesses of 0.5 mm.



6. What is the Surface finish of 3D Printed parts?

Response:

Surface finish in “as print” condition varies from alloy to alloy. It ranges from Ra 3 microns to Ra 12 microns.



7. At what layer thickness do you print Metal AM parts?

Response:

There are different layer thicknesses for different materials and they range between 20 – 80 microns.



8. What dimensional accuracy can we expect in Metal AM parts?

Response:

Dimensional accuracy mainly depends upon the part geometry & part height. It varies between 50 – 400 microns for printed component. However, with auxiliary post-processing operations like CNC Machining, the dimensional accuracy can be brought within specified tolerances for critical part features.



9. How is the Quality and strength of 3D Printed parts?

Response:

All alloys used are aerospace grade materials and surpass equivalent conventional alloys in terms of properties. The quality, strength, density, surface finish & tolerance is superior as compared to that of a casted part. You may read more about it here: https://innovae3d.com/3d-printing.php



10. How quickly can I get my parts after placing an order?

Response:

We confirm the timelines during order placement. The timelines depend on factors like pre-processing, quantities required, printing duration, post-processing, testing etc. Generally, on an average, timeline for Metal AM parts ranges anywhere between 5-15 days.



11. Do you provide post-processing services?

Response:

We undertake all post processing activities and deliver a finished component to our customers.



12. Are you a certified company?

Response:

Yes, we are an ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100 certified company.



13. What are your payment terms?

Response:

Our standard payment terms are 50% against purchase order & 50% against delivery.



14. How do you secure the data of the customer?

Response:

Being an innovative company ourselves, we understand the importance of IP and data security. Your data is uploaded on our secure servers which are fully owned and maintained by Innovae3D Pvt. Ltd. Data security is our top priority, and we have systems in place as to who can and cannot work on your design files. We encourage our customers to sign a legally binding NDA to maintain data confidentiality.



15. Can a customer come and visit your facility?

Response:

With prior confirmation from us you can visit our state-of-the art facility in Chakan, Pune.



16. Do you provide design service like creating Conformal Cooling channels or redesigning with Generative Design & Topology Optimization?

Response:
